An internationally-renowned hospital for elective therapies – a flagship service led by one of the UK’s foremost independent providers, rated one of the Top 15 Employers in Health & Social Care in 2022 – is now looking for an experienced Theatre Nurse or ODP to join the Operating Department as an Orthopaedic Scrub or Anaesthetics Practitioner.

With both acute and primary care provisions, the hospital offers a broad array of specialised and surgical services to both NHS and self-funded visitors; its 8 operating theatres see procedures for all across the body, including:

  • Neurological and ophthalmic procedures, such as glaucoma and cataract surgeries.
  • A full range of orthopaedic surgeries, including for the hip, knee, shoulder, spine, hands, and feet.
  • Cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries.
  • General surgeries, such as hernia, vascular and colorectal procedures.

As a Theatre Nurse or ODP with the hospital, you will provide effective, compassionate, and kind perioperative care to individuals as they attend for a routine investigation or complex surgery.

In return, you will be offered ongoing opportunities for professional growth, the right work-life balance for you and your family, and enhanced support for your own health and wellbeing.

This is a permanent Theatre Practitioner role in either Anaesthetics or Orthopaedic Scrub. Full-time (37.5h) and part-time hours are available.

Person specification:

You must have valid registration with the NMC (RN Adult) or the HCPC (Operating Department Practitioner).

You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in your theatre specialty.

Private healthcare scheme, including coverage for pre-existing conditions
