A premier independent care provider – one of the UK’s top 25 companies to work for in 2021 – is now looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join their “Good”-rated care centre (located not far from Uckfield) as a Trainee Care Practitioner.
The centre offers person-centred residential and nursing care for adults with age-related needs as well as a selection of purpose-built assisted living apartments. With landscaped grounds, a sensory garden, multiple lounges, and a dedicated space for a wide range of planned activities – including animal therapy, music performances, knitting club, crafts classes, and pampering sessions, alongside regular outings – residents are able to take part in a vibrant and thriving community.
As a Trainee Care Practitioner, you will take your Senior HCA experience up a level. You will lead, motivate, and inspire more junior care team members, and work directly with the nursing team to manage residents’ medication, wound and continence care, and physiological assessments safely and effectively.
This is a permanent, full-time Trainee Care Practitioner role (day or night shift patterns available) that gives you access to fantastic learning opportunities and a sector-leading employee benefits package.
Person specification:
You must have a minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a care setting.
You must have an NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
You must have GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Grade 4 -9.
