A leading Glasgow hospital for surgical and elective healthcare services is now looking for a Registered Nurse (RN Adult) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join the team as a Theatre Practitioner, practising in a Scrub, Anaesthetics or Recovery capacity.

The hospital is benefitting from an extensive investment programme that has kept its facilities and clinical technology at the forefront of the industry, including the recent and ongoing construction of additional operating theatres. The result is an ultra-modern department able to offer a broad range of routine and advanced procedures in close coordination with comprehensive on-site imaging, pharmacy, and physiotherapy services. The team regularly performs day-case and inpatient interventions for:

  • Orthopaedic conditions, including computer-assisted knee and hip replacements.
  • Hernia, colorectal and breast-related conditions.
  • Gynaecological and urological issues.
  • Paediatric patients (over the age of 3 years).
  • And other clinical areas, such as for ophthalmic, cardiac, and oncology-related needs.

Whether your interest lies within Scrub, Anaesthetics, or Recovery, as a dedicated Theatre Practitioner, you will be able to provide compassionate and effective perioperative care not always seen elsewhere as part of an experienced and diversely skilled team.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5h)position for a Theatre Practitioner (RN Adult or ODP).

 

Person specification:

  • (Essential) Registration with the NMC (Registered Nurse, RN Adult) or the HCPC (Operating Department Practitioner, ODP)
  • (Desirable) Previous experience in an operating theatre setting
