Help an indispensable mental health charity provide consistent and seamless support to those in need!

This leading Welsh charity is looking for an empathetic and compassionate Support Worker to act as a mentor within their Housing Support service, which enables people who have experienced homelessness and complex health/social issues to find a stable home from where they can engage more easily with health & wellbeing services and regain independence and confidence whilst receiving positive support.

The charity as a whole is dedicated to providing unified and comprehensive aid to vulnerable people with co-occurring mental health, addiction, and related conditions who have found themselves in difficult circumstances, such as with substance misuse, the criminal justice system, or loss of sufficient housing or employment.

This is a full-time, permanent position (37.5h per week), however part-time contracts (16h or 30h) are also available.

The shift pattern typically includes a mixture of day shifts and evening shifts, but flexibility may be available for the right candidate.

Some travel will be required, meaning you will need access to your own transport for this role.

 

Person specification:

You must have previous experience as a Support Worker, or personal experience in recovering or supporting someone to recover from a mental health/addiction condition.

You must have access to your own transport – some travel will be required.
