This long-established independent hospital has provided short-term services, long-term rehabilitation, and significant research advancements to people with complex or profound brain injuries and neurological conditions for over 150 years, and is now looking for a Staff Nurse who is eager to learn uncommon and much sought-after clinical skills to enable every patient to achieve greater independence and quality of life.
As a Staff Nurse at this hospital, you will be able to develop supportive and fulfilling relationships with each patient (and their families and friends) while gaining extensive clinical expertise in your chosen specialty, which could be:
- Brain injury services
- Neuro-behavioural services
- Specialist residential services
- Ventilator services
- Young adults’ services
You will be fully trained and supported as you develop your clinical skills, which can include complex postural management, tracheostomy, tracheostomy management (including changing and replacement), gastronomy, and/or jejunostomy, depending on your chosen field.
This is permanent Staff Nurse role, with full-time or part-time hours available. Bank hours are also an option.
Both newly-qualified and experienced nurses in Adult Nursing, Mental Health, or Learning Disabilities will be considered for this role.

Person specification:
You must be double-vaccinated as a minimum, and ideally have also had the booster. Unvaccinated candidates can accept the vaccine from the hospital to take on this role.
You must have valid registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse in Adult Nursing, Mental Health, or Learning Disabilities for this role.
Graduand and graduate nurses in the process of receiving a NMC PIN can initially start as a Pre-Registered Nurse, to move into this role upon confirmed NMC registration.
