Speech and Language Therapist - Band 5/6

Suffolk/Cambridgeshire

£28,407 - £42,618

Are you a skilled Speech and Language Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young people? Join our dynamic and passionate team at our independent therapy practice based in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, where we provide services to babies, children, and young people locally and nationally through teletherapy.

At our practice, we specialise in working with children who have additional needs including Down Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and feeding difficulties. We also offer a general communication/early developmental service to mainstream preschool and school-aged children.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with children who have developmental communication difficulties, managing a regular caseload (a combination of home visits, school/nursery visits, and some work at our clinics in Littleport and/or Alconbury). We provide supervision and support, particularly for less experienced therapists.

We offer flexible working arrangements, considering both part-time and full-time applicants (Mon-Fri, 9-5 or 8.30-4.30). The salary will be commensurate with experience. You will need the use of your own car, but travel expenses will be subsidised.

As a minimum requirement, you must have HCPC registration and be a full member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

The successful applicant will be primarily based in the Mildenhall/Lakenheath area, with travel required to surrounding areas such as (not all of) Ely, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, and Cambridge. There may be opportunities for work in Peterborough, Alconbury, Kings Lynn, and Huntingdon by mutual agreement.

As well as a competitive salary and benefits, you will have administrative support and the opportunity for training in specific clinical areas that require development. Benefits will include:

  • 33 days’ annual leave (incl. bank holidays)
  • Smart Pension scheme
  • Company sick pay scheme
  • Mileage reimbursements for travel between clients and clinic base
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
