A leading Welsh charity is now looking for an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join the housing support team on a part-time basis at their Pembrokeshire supported accommodation service.
The supported accommodation service enables people with complex mental health diagnoses to receive the focused support they need to reach a greater level of independent living, build positive relationships, and feel secure within a home specially dedicated to this purpose.
The charity as a whole provides comprehensive aid to vulnerable people with mental health, addiction & related conditions who are facing difficult circumstances, such as with substance misuse, the criminal justice system, or loss of sufficient housing/ employment.
As a Senior Housing Support Worker, you will provide expert domiciliary care and wellbeing support while the residents work towards self-managing their own health needs and pursuing new goals and aspirations, including supervising and acting as a role model for more junior team members.
This is a permanent role for a Senior Housing Support Worker, working 30 hours per week. The service operates around the clock, 7 days per week; enhanced pay rates will be offered for any evenings, sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.
Person specification:
You must have previous experience in providing care and/or mental health support.
