An independent hospital based in central Guildford, part of the number one independent provider of hospital services in this country, is now looking for an experienced Hand Therapist (Registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) to join their bank staff, to provide specialist hand therapy services. You will become part of a dynamic team who are keen to provide clinical excellence, develop their clinical skills and participate in ongoing CPD activities. The hand therapy team provides comprehensive assessments, treatments & splinting for a broad range of upper limb health conditions, including MSK/orthopaedic injuries and conditions, and post-surgical patients’ rehabilitation.
We have a vacancy for a Bank Senior Hand Therapist, supporting the team on a regular weekly basis and covering annual leave /sick leave as required and mutually agreed. In the future there is likely to be an opportunity to progress this bank role into a permanent post should the successful candidate wish to do so.
Person specification:
- (Essential) HCPC-recognised BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy degree (or equivalent/higher)
- (Essential) HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
- (Essential) Evidence of postgraduate-level learning relating to hand therapy
- (Essential) Substantial experience relating to the clinical assessment, splinting and treatment of hand and wrist conditions
- Please note that sports therapy / sport rehabilitation professionals are not eligible for this role.
