A grand premier care home, located just outside of York, is now looking for a someone experienced in care home management to join the team as their Registered Manager.

The surrounding area itself is picturesque, all gently rolling hills in contrast to the more rugged moorland and valleys of the national parks nearby, and benefits from a rich history and charming local businesses and eateries. This is the perfect place for lovers of the quiet life, while remaining within commuting distance from Harrogate and York.

Residents get all the support they need to live comfortably while enjoying private en-suite rooms, chef-prepared menus, and a packed entertainment programme at this luxurious home set within a beautiful countryside estate.

As Registered Manager, you will have full operational control of the home – assuring safety, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of consistently excellent elderly care, while staying committed to continuous team and service development.

Success in your role will be rewarded through service quality bonuses of up to £10,000, in addition to automatic profit share bonuses that can reach up to 100% of your salary.

As this is a residential home, a nursing background is not essential but would be an advantage.

Should you be open to moving for your ideal role, a significant support package can be discussed to aid a relocation to North Yorkshire*.

This is a permanent, full-time (40h) position for a Registered Manager.


Person specification:

  • (Essential) Recent experience as a Registered Manager for a care home, to have achieved positive inspection results (ratings “Good” and above) during this time
  • (Essential) Experience managing care homes with 40+ bed capacity
  • (Essential) Experience managing care homes with at least 50% private occupancy
  • (Essential) Sound practical knowledge of elderly and dementia care
  • (Desirable) Professional training as a Registered Nurse (RN Adult / RMN / RNLD)
