One of Edinburgh’s – and the whole of Scotland’s – most well-established independent pharmacy groups has a fantastic new opportunity for a qualified Pharmacy Technician or Dispenser to join and support the team at a local branch.
Family-run and award-winning, the group is seeking an experienced pharmacy support professional who shares the group’s dedication to supporting the local community and recognises the growing importance of pharmacies in safeguarding community health and wellbeing.
As a Pharmacy Technician or Dispenser with the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Pharmacists and keeping the pharmacy running smoothly – using your expert dispensing and customer service skills to assist visitors with receiving their prescribed medication and other services, advise on the sale of over-the-counter medicines and general products, and keep the process as efficient and straightforward as possible, all so that each member of the community receives the excellent healthcare experience that the pharmacy is known for.
This is a permanent position for a Pharmacy Technician or Dispenser, with options available for full-time (40h) or part-time working patterns.
Person specification:
- You must have previous experience within a community pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Dispenser/Counter Assistant.
- Pharmacy Technicians must be registered with the GPhC, requiring an SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent).
- Pharmacy Dispensers must have an SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent).
