A highly unique opportunity has come up for a Pharmacist of any background to develop within veterinary pharmacy, joining the team at a leading online manufacturer and provider of animal medicines and products for small domestic pets up to large farmyard livestock.
The pharmacy has been a trusted supplier for pet owners, equestrians, birdkeepers, farm owners and veterinarians for over 100 years, with an extensive range of well-respected animal care brands as well as exclusive products manufactured in-house. The team is now also branching out into human healthcare for a one-stop, hassle-free pharmacy experience.
As a Pharmacist, you will get involved across both veterinary pharmacy and human, including dispensing medications (animal and non-NHS only), advising on medicine usage, and working with charities to support welfare; if it suits your interests, you will also gain practical experience in small scale manufacture and HPLC analysis. The team is highly experienced and supportive (complete with office dog!) and you will be able to work closely with the directors to influence business expansion.
This is a permanent position, ideally full-time (37.5h) but part-time also considered.
Full-time working pattern will follow office hours, Mon-Fri (no weekends or late finishes).
Previous experience in animal medicine is not required. Pharmacists of a community, PCN or clinical pharmacy background are very welcome to apply, including newly qualified Pharmacists.
