Pharmacist

South East Wales

£50,000 - £54,000 per year + location payment

AA/CF/11222

One of the UK’s leading providers of community health and pharmacy services has a fantastic opportunity for a GPhC-registered Pharmacist to join the team at one of their branches across South-East Wales.

As a staple for high street healthcare across Wales and a long-time partner of the NHS, the team is committed to supporting the local community through outstanding pharmacy and primary care services – including offering our Pharmacists and pharmacy professionals the tools and opportunities to innovate, develop, and progress in a space that is becoming increasingly vital for national health needs.

Independent Prescribing is currently an area of focus and should you wish to complete the qualification, you will be fully supported with covered course fees, clinical mentoring from experienced practitioners, and an additional bursary of up to £7,000 to back fill your role and allow time out to study.

As a Pharmacist, you will provide expert medication dispensing, health advice, and advanced services within a branch that is both local to you and suits your preferences; available locations now include Merthyr Tydfil, Cwmbran, Bridgend, Caerphilly, and more, and you will also have the option to work as a Relief Pharmacist across multiple stores to gain wider experience. You will be eligible for a location payment of up to £4,000 (dependent on location) on top of access to a sector-leading rewards, benefits, and CPD resource package.

This is a permanent, full-time role for a GPhC-registered Pharmacist; exact working patterns are branch-dependent, but opening hours are typically 9am – 5.30pm. Part-time hours may also be available depending on store needs.

Person specification:

You must be a GPhC-registered Pharmacist.

1+ years’ post-registration experience is preferred but not essential newly qualified Pharmacists are welcome to apply.

Benefits include:

  • Enhanced annual leave + options to buy/sell
  • Retirement savings plan with employer contributions up to 12%
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Further learning and development opportunities with support from award-winning team
  • Substantial support to earn IP qualification, including £7k bursary scheme
  • GPhC fees reimbursed in full
  • Staff discount scheme
  • Enhanced benefits for new parents
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • And more!
