Suffolk/Cambridgeshire

£28,407 - £42,618

A leading charity for specialist rehabilitation and support services is now looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the team at their step-down service in Croydon, where men and women with a forensic history, complex mental health needs and/or a dual diagnosis are offered housing and resettlement support bespoke to their individual circumstances.

The charity provides supported accommodation, community-based support, and addiction rehabilitation services across London, the south and east of England, working to enable vulnerable and disadvantaged people to maintain social inclusion, access safe and stable housing, and experience as high a quality of life as possible.

As an Occupational Therapist with the Croydon team, you will assess, deliver targeted interventions to, and advocate for people with complex and enduring mental health needs in a safe and engaging environment: supporting residents to maximise functional independence, regain a stable sense of wellbeing, and ultimately achieve success in managing their own health and daily living.

The team places great emphasis on its cohesive model of care, and you will be able to work closely alongside psychologists, recovery workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide the right support at the right time for each resident.

This is a permanent, part-time role (28h per week) for an Occupational Therapist.

Person specification:

Candidates must have:

  • Active registration with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in mental health and/or learning disability services

Benefits/enhancements include:

  • 25 days’ annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata for part-time)
  • Health cash plan to assist with optical care, dental, physiotherapy & more
  • Commitment to professional development including access to courses, upskilling, and progression plans
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Cycle to Work scheme

  • And more!
