A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled individual to become an integral part of an ‘Outstanding’ motivated team based in Berkshire, who have been awarded for their contribution to the community during Covid-19.
This service offers expert bespoke advice, advanced skills, and intensive treatments to patients with Lymphoedema. You will encourage patients & carers to engage with self-management by offering the support that will enable them to feel confident in managing the condition.
As a Lymphoedema Specialist Practitioner you will work autonomously, managing your own caseload of patients, often with complex physical and emotional needs.
You will:
- Assess, diagnose, and agree management plans
- Assist in the delivery of management plans
- Support the team in developing their skills
- Offer the opportunity to treat and assess patients in their own homes as and when required
Person specification:
You will be an NMC registered Nurse/HCPC registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with:
- Specialist Lymphoedema experience OR
- Experience in related area (such as palliative care, oncology/other long-term conditions)
- Proven experience in managing patients with complex issues
- Have access to your own mode of transport
