The Ambulatory Care Unit itself is a standalone, spacious area for minor and day case procedures, with separate theatres for endoscopy (JAG-accredited), minor ops, and laser eye surgeries including a 6-bay recovery area and its own scope decontamination suite.   You will  lead the service to include  in the management and organisation of care within the unit, role modelling best practice in endoscopy to aid skill development, continuous quality improvement, and the provision of an all-round exceptional patient experience.

This is a permanent, full-time role

Person specification:

Essential:

  • Registered either with the NMC (Registered Nurse, RN Adult) or the HCPC (Operating Department Practitioner, ODP)
  • Previous experience in endoscopy.
  • Experience leading a clinical team.

Desirable:

  • ILS and teaching/assessing/mentorship qualification.
  • Familiarity with the JAG accreditation process is preferred but not essential.
  • Member of AfPP
