A fantastic new opportunity is now available for a Registered Nurse (RN Adult) who is highly experienced in elderly care to join a luxury Glasgow care home as the Deputy General Manager and Clinical Lead!

The home is a modern, purpose-built centre for exceptional older people’s nursing and respite care – accommodating conditions such as dementia and frailty – with colourful landscaped gardens, multiple communal areas, a wealth of indoor and outdoor activities, and dedicated spaces for relatives to visit and even stay overnight. Residents and visitors can take part in a vibrant and welcoming community, enjoying their time at the home in comfort and style.

As Deputy General Manager, you will be the Clinical Lead for the home, working closely with the General Manager (who also has an extensive background in nursing, including with older adults’ mental health) to monitor regulatory compliance, assure quality in all areas, and oversee the team’s clinical practice, development, and wellbeing. In doing so, you will ensure that every resident – whether their stay is long-term or on a respite basis – experiences the best care and quality of life at all times.

This is a permanent, full-time role (40h/week) for a Deputy Care Home Manager.

Person specification:

  • You must be registered with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (RN Adult).
  • You must have significant experience in caring for older patients with complex health needs.
  • You must have an NMC-approved mentorship/teaching/assessment qualification.
  • You must have experience in clinical management – including conducting risk assessments and investigations, managing a budget, and supporting the building and development of a clinical team.
