Worked your way up from a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker role, and now looking for the perfect next step? We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in care to join a luxury residential care home near Northallerton as Deputy Manager.

The home specialises in caring for age- and dementia-related needs and is part of one of the UK’s Top 20 Care Home Groups, well-known for providing exceptional care for people who need some extra support to live well. The home itself is rated “Good” in all CQC categories and prioritises comfort, with airy and expertly-furnished living and social spaces (designed using research-based, memory-friendly techniques), delicious chef-prepared menus, and beautiful gardens as expected of a location close to both the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales.

As Deputy Manager, you will be primarily supporting the General Manager and providing leadership when they are absent: assisting with regulatory compliance, assuring safety, and looking after the team in terms of both wellbeing and skill level. This is a permanent, full-time (40h) role for a Care Home Deputy Manager.

Please note that public transport in the area is limited — if commuting from outside Northallerton, you will likely need a car to reliably get to/from the home.

 

Person specification:

  • (Essential) A history of career and skill development within care.
  • (Essential) Experience with supervisory/management duties – e.g. conducting risk assessments and investigations, managing a budget, managing the activities of a team.
