Location : St Helena, (Sub-tropical Island) South Atlantic

Salary: £35,000 per annum + allowances + benefits

Description : This the opportunity of a lifetime for an experienced speech & language therapist to work in a beautiful setting, located in a sub-tropical Island of the South Atlantic Ocean.

Working closely with other members of the Children and Adult Social Care Directorate, you will help to promote and develop a Speech and Language Therapy practice which is person-centred and outcome-focused, throughout community, hospital and residential settings.

This is a 2 year fixed term contract

Person Specification : Holding a recognised S< degree level qualification or equivalent, you must be a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and of the Health and Care Professions Council. Significant experience of working with those with communication difficulties will be essential, plus experience of integrated working in multi-disciplinary teams. Flexible and adaptable, you must also have VERVE training, knowledge of the Mental Capacity Ordinance (2016) or Mental Capacity Act (UK), and have working knowledge of safeguarding procedures/policy.
