Description: Our established client is currently recruiting for a Unit Nurse Manager to lead their fantastic MDT. The role is based within a modern nursing home unit in Carlisle. You would be joining a company that places huge emphasis on providing the best care possible to all their residents. The home that you would enter is a specialist in dealing with palliative care and has a dedicated unit for patients that suffer from dementia or challenging behaviour.

As Unit Nurse Manager of our client's home, you will use your compassion and initiative to make sure the residents get the quality care they deserve. Our client will be looking to you to plan, manage and monitor the delivery of nursing to ensure this meets all of the resident's needs. On a day-to-day you could expect to plan rotas, recruit, train, and mentor staff.

Person Specification: You'll need to be a qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN), have current NMC registration, a good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices, experience in producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments is essential, you will need to be a natural leader who has acted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
