Description: We are working closely with a charity that support people with a learning disability in the community. The charity would like to demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society but they cannot do this without you!
We need Support Workers in the Aston-on-Trent area to make this vision a reality.
Supporting someone with a learning disability isn't just personal care; it's so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication.
Person Specification: You don't need to have worked in supported living before to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. You will promote independence and encourage the development of key life skills.
You'll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
