Our Client work closely and collaboratively with the NHS to provide seamless, embedded services which ensure greater equity of access for all patients and a speedier, more streamlined pathway from referral to treatment and outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced, competent Senior MRI radiographer to work flexibly across both a 1.5T and a 3.0T, plus participate in a rotational on call commitment for a clinician led out of hour's emergency service. The site is a busy and progressive teaching unit that provides general and specialist scanning to over 12,000 NHS, Self-Funding and Private Patients each year.
This role is full time (40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday) and applicants must be able to work 12 hour shifts that range from a 07:30 to 08:30 start.
There is also the opportunity for individuals to rotate through our sister site, which comprises of a 1.5 Siemens Symphony MRI and a GE Lightspeed CT scanner.
The Senior Radiographer is responsible for the implementation of service quality developments, maintaining knowledge of current research and new clinical practices. There is also a requirement to mentor and train rotational/ visiting radiographers within the unit and ensure that they are mentored, skilled and competency assessed to the required clinical standards.
Experience in CT would be beneficial, but not essential.
With a flexible and patient-focused approach you will be working within a small team and have experience of building an excellent rapport with patients and customers (both internal and external) and continue to provide high standards of care and service. This role extends to include involvement in all parts of the patient pathway from booking to report.
Person Specification: This position is open to any Radiographer with significant MRI experience.
Candidates must have previous MRI experience and be comfortable with a wide range of examinations in a busy site. Clinical competency should be to AML Skills Matrix 4-5 and previous experience in dynamic, breast, paediatric and cardiac imaging is advantageous and IV competency is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, IT literacy and experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
