Description: This is one of the UK's most prestigious and innovative NHS Trusts. They offer a wide range of services to the people of Bromley and Kent.

Proudly serving the communities of south east London, they are a world-class team of healthcare providers.

Person Specification:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and enthusiastic Band 6 Senior Staff Nurses, or Band 5 Staff Nurses looking to progress into a Band 6 position.

You must have appropriate chemotherapy qualification to join this friendly team on the Chemotherapy Day Unit.

Both permanent and fixed-term (12 months) opportunities are available.

The Chemotherapy Day unit cares for patients receiving chemotherapy treatments for both solid tumours and Haematological cancers, thus affording the opportunity to experience caring for these two unique groups of patients.

You will need to display excellent communication skills and offer care in a kind and compassionate manner. You will need to have experience in caring for cancer patients in an inpatient setting and have accreditation in the administration of cytotoxic medications.

The post will offer you the support of a patient focused dynamic team in which you will be encouraged to develop your knowledge and skills in cancer nursing.

The unit works in close collaboration with the Acute Oncology Team and this requires liaising with Clinical Nurse Specialists working in partnership in caring for the acutely unwell patient. Ongoing research is integral to our everyday practice here.

If you're ready to provide high-quality healthcare in a pioneering environment, join this today. Together, you can make a difference to the wellbeing of the community. The hospital is positively proud of the care they provide. You can be, too.

Employment at the hospital gives you automatic access to the many benefits and a pension scheme. The package is worth almost 20% of pay overall and includes an inflation-linked pension payable for life, life assurance cover and family benefits if you die.
