A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join their professional and multi-disciplinary teams. As a Acute Adult Dietetic Team Leader you will provide leadership to all Dietetic staff within the Acute Adult Team. To be responsible for service development within the specialty. To implement policy and policy changes in own clinical area and those which affect the whole Integrated Therapy Service and the Trust.
You will plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate the Dietetic service provided to patients on ICU and Acute Adult wards across the Trust. This includes ensuring the team's workload is appropriately prioritised and work is effectively distributed and coordinated across the team on a day-by-day basis. You will also work closely with the inpatient teams and develop team goals with the Divisional and Service Operational Managers.
* As a guide 60% of time to be clinical based/patient treatment and 40% non-clinical Therapy Team Leader Management
Person Specification: We are looking for a candidate that holds a Diploma/degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, who has current registration with the HCPC with varied experience on clinical placements. essential is also experience in management or supervision of a team, post graduate training relevant to speciality area, Evidence of previous experience of supporting in patients with acute dietetic needs at a senior level, training and clinical supervision of clinical staff and students, up-to-date knowledge of research and national guidelines relevant to professional practice, experience of application of clinical governance e.g. Quality review and audit.
