Description: This is an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join a brand new service for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
As a Support Worker, you will be a key figure in enabling the service users to live independent, active lives. All the service users have individual packages of care that are tailored to enable them to access local leisure, volunteering and educational services.
This newly built service provides support for up-to nine individuals in nine self-contained flats, which will enable service users to live independently whilst also being able to access an onsite Wi-Fi café, arts and crafts centre and a communal space that can be used for games.
Expect a warm, friendly, multi-disciplinary team that will fully support your career, with a focus on training and development in areas you are most interested in. Training on the use of positive behavioural management and links to professional nursing networks are just some examples.
Person Specification: Candidates with either Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care desirable, but not essential. Full training will be given, so newly-qualified and unqualified (with relevant experience) are welcome and encouraged to apply.
