Description: This is an exciting and rewarding time to join an incredible multi-disciplinary team who are passionate about supporting patients and families who are affected by life limiting illness.

As a charity, their care is completely free of charge and their aim is to make every day count, and to make the journey as comfortable as possible. The Hospice will also look after the whole family, which may include emotional or educational support for the child's siblings, counselling for parents, grandparents and carers or assistance with social issues.

This role is to lead and coordinate a multi-professional team of staff in order to manage and develop the Children's Hospice in-patient unit. Working with the Director of Care to ensure the highest standards in a safe, fair, equitable, responsive and needs-led service.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring the Children's Hospice provides a service to life limited and life threatened children and their families which is in line with the organisations mission and vision, and which understands the needs and priorities of families who access hospice care.

Person Specification: A registered children's nurse (RN child) with minimum of 3 years' experience in a paediatric care environment. Experience in managing a team essential, as well as a leadership qualification being desirable, and previous palliative care experience is also highly desirable.
