We are looking for a registered general nurse to join their existing team and head up their nursing and rehabilitation department, part of their Neuro Rehabilitation Services ('NRS') based in Banstead.
NRS offers neurorehabilitation and transitional support to clients after a stroke or other acquired brain injury. Our specialist multi-disciplinary team provides residential or outpatient therapies to those with physical, cognitive and/or communication disabilities, which may also include mild to moderate behavioural problems. We have a diverse range of one-to-one support programmes, tailored to help improve social and functional abilities as well as support for that important move home and back to education or work.
NRS is proud to be a chosen provider for the Training Nurse Associate Programme, providing two trainee nurse associates with a six month secondment to gain skills, knowledge and experience of working in neuro rehabilitation alongside a multi-disciplinary team of qualified physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and clinical psychologists as well as a team of experienced rehabilitation staff.
The successful candidate will work closely with the multi-disciplinary leadership team to help develop and deliver specialist neuro and stroke rehabilitation of the highest quality to adults with an acquired brain injury or a neurological condition, and their families.
Roles and responsibilities:
* To lead and manage the nursing and care staff to ensure clients receive care that is safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led.
* Integrate the nursing care of clients in the overall rehabilitation plan of clients so that care is person centred.
