Job Title: Junior Charge Nurse/Sister (RGN) - Post-acute medicine
Salary: £31,878 to £42,668 per annum inc HCA (Band 6)
Description: This hospital are one of the largest teaching hospitals in the country and puts patients first across all of their multiple sites. They specialise in delivering high quality healthcare services to the people of South East London.
They are creating more Band 6 opportunities in their post-acute medicine wards due to the expansion of the Division. They are looking to recruit nurses who are excited by the idea of developing their leadership skills and are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Nurses to work within the following areas: Respiratory, HIV & sexual health, Oncology, Gastro, Diabetes, Rheumatology & General medicine.
This is an exciting opportunity and an excellent learning experience for candidates who wish to build upon their managerial role within a team. You will be providing support to the band 7, in ensuring the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and resources. The post will be challenging but rewarding and will support personal growth and development!
Person Specification: Successful candidates will be highly motivated, energetic individuals who have excellent communication skills, committed to delivering high quality patient focused care within a post-acute medicine environment. You must also have a current first level registration with the NMC, along with the right to work in the UK.
Benefits: 27 days' annual leave. This increases to 29 days and 33 days after five and 10 years of NHS service, NHS pension scheme. The package is worth almost 20% of pay overall and includes an inflation-linked pension payable for life, life assurance and flexible working.
