Description: Our client is a leading insurance company who provide payments to claimants who are unable to work due to illness or injury.
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant you will supporting ill and injured people with a focus on remaining in or returning to work. You'll spend most of your time liaising with people in their workplaces or homes, speaking with employers to provide guidance (HR and Line Managers), operating independently and managing your own caseload. In addition to this, you will be supporting larger clients understand the services available to them and how to navigate managing absence.
Day-to-day, you will be liaising with multiple parties from employers to medical practitioners to recommend and guide appropriate vocational rehabilitation programs whilst considering their Occupational, Medical and Personal situation. You will also be delivering presentations to clients on how we can support them and involved in delivering training workshops.
You will be mainly office based but will travel to clients sites when required.
Working hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
Person Specification: As a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant you will need strong communication and case management skills. Key to your success will be the ability to build solid relationships with colleagues, clients and individuals alike.
You will also need to have an appropriate background related to the vocational rehabilitation field such as Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Occupational Health or Vocational Case Management. Previous experience within Financial Services or Insurance is also preferred!
Ideally, you will also have experience working with large commercial clients and be familiar with writing reports as well, using computer systems and managing a portfolio of cases at any given time. Good organisation and planning will be crucial to manage your work load.
