Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join a leading hospice charity either as a Night or Community Staff Nurse . The hospice, based in Lymington, is committed to providing exceptional holistic care tailored to the individual needs of people with terminal or life-limiting conditions throughout the New Forest, and is looking for a Night or Community Staff Nurse to aid the provision of its round-the-clock inpatient, day hospice and community services.

We are looking for an individual who can work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest quality care and support to patients and their families who are facing unparalleled challenges, and the role would best suit those who are committed to optimising the quality of life of people with terminal and life-limiting conditions and seeking to develop their clinical skills in palliative and complex care.

Night Nurses will be based on the Inpatient Unit at the hospice site, with the salary being £25-3k plus unsociable enhancements of 45-75% depending on hours worked.

Community Nurses will primarily care for patients in their own homes but may be required to assist in the Inpatient Unit and Day Hospice at times. As such, it is essential for you to have a valid licence and your own vehicle for this role. Salary for Community Nurses will be £34k plus 45-75% depending on hours workedFull-time and part-time positions are available for both Night Nurse and Community Nurse roles, depending on your needs and preferences.

Person Specification:

Qualified RGN with valid NMC registration and commitment to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and associated national guidelines.

Valid full driving licence and own transport (community nurse).

Some prior experience in a clinical or surgical setting (night nurse) or in the community (community nurse) working with patients and their families to provide care based on their individual needs.

Resilience and the ability to show compassion, empathy, and consideration to others.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently and effectively with other healthcare professionals.

Planning and organisational skills, with experience of resource management and prioritisation of workload in response to changing demands.

Community nurses will be working in a variety of locations and must have a fully flexible approach to working patterns.
