An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Pharmacist to join a “Good”-rated, progressive acute healthcare provider as a Specialist Rotational Pharmacist, as part of its visionary service development programme.
As a Specialist Rotational Pharmacist, you will deliver expert care and advice as you undertake ward-based rotations, getting to know your patients and the ward’s MDT in depth and enhancing the care you provide, as part of the service’s integrated approach to healthcare.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in several clinical specialties, including:
- Women’s & Children’s Health
- Cardiology
- Endocrinology
- Palliative Care
- Specialist Surgery
- ICU
- Emergency Medicine
- Haematology
There will also be extensive opportunities for professional development, including to earn your Independent Prescribing, MSc Clinical Pharmacy, or other additional qualifications, and also participate in research studies.
This is a full-time Specialist Rotational Pharmacist role, with some emergency duty requirements.
Person specification:
You must currently be registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacist.
You must have post-qualification experience in a hospital pharmacy or equivalent clinical setting and be currently undertaking or have completed a PGDip in Clinical Pharmacy.
You must be willing to undertake further training in Independent Prescribing (if you have not already achieved this qualification).
