Rise to the challenge and leave your mark on a brand-new intensive treatment service for complex trauma cases.

A leading specialist mental health charity is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join a dynamic, inter-disciplinary clinical team as a Senior Psychological Therapist.

As a Senior Psychological Therapist, you will be able to get involved in the planning, development, and implementation of a new intensive residential programme for veterans with complex trauma-related mental health difficulties (such as PTSD and C-PTSD), co-designed by and co-produced with veterans and their families.

You will use your expertise to assess for and plan comprehensive treatment strategies, perform specialist 1:1 and group-based psychological interventions spanning the full range of evidenced-based therapies for PTSD and C-PTSD, and supervise and guide the practise of more junior psychological professionals.

Participation in the charity’s cutting-edge research (conducted in partnership with renowned national and international organisations) is actively encouraged, and you will also be invited to attend regular CPD opportunities, both internally and externally with colleagues from across the UK and sometimes abroad.

This Senior Psychological Therapist position is a permanent, full-time (Mon-Fri, 9am-4.30pm) role.

Person Specification:

You must be a Clinical Psychologist with current HCPC registration.

You must have experience providing specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for adults with a range of mental health needs related to trauma and combat experiences.

  • Pension scheme with employer contributions matched up to 11% of salary
  • Extensive training and development opportunities
  • Discounted healthcare cash plan
