Provide specialist oncology care at a dedicated unit, and give cancer patients the best chance at fighting.

One of the UK’s leading independent healthcare providers is now looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN Adult) with a clinical interest in cancer therapies to join the growing cancer unit at their fully “Good”-rated Guildford site, where they aim to always surpass even the highest expectations when it comes to patient care.

The wider hospital specialises in acute medical services and surgical procedures, both routine and complex, and therefore the unit’s cancer services – provided by a multidisciplinary coalition of medical, nursing, allied health, and complementary therapy professionals – are able to offer a full range of oncological interventions, including cancer surgeries and hormone, chemo- or radiotherapies, to treat a wide range of cancers.

As an Oncology Staff Nurse, you will provide excellent individualised care to patients with the unit, including administering systemic anti-cancer treatments, advocating for and safeguarding each person’s wellbeing, and acting as a role model for best practice within cancer nursing.

A range of working patterns are currently available, including:

  • Fixed-term, full-time – 12 months maternity cover, 37.5h per week, Mon-Fri
  • Permanent, part-time – 30 hours per week
  • Bank – with rates up to £25 per hour DOE

 

Person specification:

You must hold valid registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (RN Adult).

You must have previous experience in cancer services.

You must have previous experience in an acute hospital setting.
